Multimedia designing and publishing, advocacy and research on ICT for human rights and development however online journalism and teaching at university are working arena of Shahjahan Siraj.
Presently he is executing Machizo Multimedia and publishing first South Asian multimedia and development webzine UnnayanNews. However he is publisher of Bangladesh UnnayanTV, Bangladesh First online TV. He involved with a number of international and national ICT4D, human rights and multimedia professional organization and network. All of Siraj’s digital creativity stand out on account of artistic individuality and user-frendly functionality.
Siraj is a pioneer online Bangladeshi activist and journalist is committed to rise up the patriotic spirit and social commitment among Bangladeshi media professional particularly young media professionals.
Shahjahan Siraj has designed more than 100 website in different languages like Japanese, France, Dutch, Thai, English and Bangla. He has designed also the official web site of Drik, Banglarights, Pathshala and Chobi Mela and Machizo. The “Power of Culture: Bangladeshi Spirit” is one of Siraj’s favorites which is also translated into Dutch language. He also designed the web site for African journalist, Dutch and Norwegian photographers in all. However Siraj is involved with a number of ICT4D project and nationwide NGO network by providing ICT and multimedia supports.
Siraj writings and articles has been published in world famous magazine and publications.
One of Siraj’s other more well-known projects is the multimedia CD ROM “Bangladesh: Images and Impressions” It is widely used by both government and the private sector for presentations on Bangladesh’s socio-economic life. The CD-ROM is a successful initiative against the Western media stereotypes about Bangladesh.
Along with his designing Siraj is active a online journalist. He is moderator of “UnnayanNews” and "South-Dialouge", a platform of human rights activist from Latin America, Africa and Asia. |
